WorkSitter Policies

Welcome to the WorkSitter Policies page. We value transparency and clarity in our services and want to ensure you fully understand our policies. Below, you'll find detailed information on our cancellation policy, VA task delivery expectations, and general terms of service.

1. Cancellation, Downgrade & Pause Policies

Standard Memberships

  • Visionaries may cancel or downgrade their membership with at least 1 week’s notice before the next billing date.

  • No refunds are issued for cancellations or pauses.

  • We recommend submitting cancellation requests at least 1 week before the end of your billing cycle to align with the notice policy.

Failed Payments

  • For every failed payment on the billing date, a $7 failed payment fee will be applied.

Pause Fees

  • A $25 pause fee applies to memberships that include VA / Assistant task hours.

Changes Within a Billing Cycle

  • Any upgrades, downgrades, or changes requested inside the billing window will be:

    • Prorated

    • Charged the same day

    • Fully reflected in the next billing cycle

2. Cancellation Notice Requirements

Regular Memberships (1–19 hours per week)

  • Require a 1-week paid cancellation notice.

  • One final 7-day billing period will be completed before the membership officially ends.

  • This ensures a smooth wrap-up of active work and consistent scheduling for teammates.

Large Memberships (20-40+ hours per week)

  • For larger, more integral roles (such as account management and dedicated support), we require a 1-month paid cancellation notice.

  • One final 4-week billing cycle will be completed before the membership ends.

  • This supports stability for both the Visionary and the dedicated teammate.

WorkSitter Sessions

  • WorkSitter Sessions are time reserved for you. The teammate holds that time and energy to support you.

  • Sessions can be canceled, but are non-refundable, non-rebookable unless canceled/moved at least 1 week in advance.

3. Hours, Rollover & Usage

Weekly hours do NOT roll over.

  • Unused hours may be applied to (ONLY IF ANNOUNCED with 1 week in advance):

    • Overflow tasks

    • Documentation

    • SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) development

Going on vacation?

  • Great! WorkSitter Sessions or Team Meetings can be converted into VA hours during that time (ONLY IF ANNOUNCED with 1 week in advance.)

4. Billing Accuracy & Adjustments

If an underbilling or overbilling error occurs:

  • As soon as discovered, the Visionary will be informed immediately.

  • Flexible repayment options may be offered:

    • Installments

    • Credits

    • Adjusted future billing

5. Task Pricing Structure

  • Regular WorkSitter / VA tasks: $13.50/hr

  • Advanced Tasks: $22/hr

  • Regular Extra / On-Demand hours: $15/hr

  • Advanced Extra / On-Demand hours: $22/hr

6. Teammate Transitions 

  • A minimum 30-day transition period is required when a teammate exits (resignation or buyout).

  • The outgoing teammate is responsible for:

    • Documentation

    • Knowledge transfer

    • Supporting the incoming teammate

  • Visionary satisfaction and continuity of service are top priority during transitions.

7. NDA & Confidentiality Framework

  • All WorkSitter teammates:

    • Are under NDA with WorkSitter

    • Are contractually bound to:

      • Confidentiality

      • Data protection

      • Non-solicitation

  • Visionaries are protected by default. No separate NDA is needed.

    • This applies to:

      • Client documents

      • Sensitive personal or business data

      • Client-facing tools, platforms, and systems

8. Credit Card & Payment Method Policy

  • For privacy and security reasons, Visionaries are generally asked to update payment methods themselves.

  • In exceptional cases, WorkSitter may assist with updates at its discretion.

9. Teammate Raise Policy

  • Visionaries may raise their teammates’ hourly rate at any time.

  • We proudly allocate 70% of the income directly to our Teammates, and 30% is allocated to growth:

    • Teammate Development Support and Training  

    • Skills & Mindset Workshops

    • Business Expenses (Software, Marketing, Accounting & Sales)

    • Leadership & Visionaries Support

10. Teammate Bonus Policy

  • Visionaries may give their teammate a bonus at any time.

  • 100% of the bonus (minus processing fees) goes to the teammate.

11. Time Zone & Working Hours Policy

  • WorkSitter operates primarily within North and South American working hours.

  • If a Visionary is located outside the Americas:

    • We will attempt to match a teammate to their schedule

    • If not possible, the Visionary may need to adapt to American working hours

12. New Membership & Onboarding Notes 

First-Week Setup Allocation:

  • During the first week of a new membership, 1 hour of membership time is allocated to setup:

    • 30 minutes for internal WorkSitter onboarding

    • 30 minutes for the introductory call with your teammate

  • This ensures alignment before ongoing work begins.

VA Task Only Membership Best Requirements:

  • For VA Task-only memberships, we require:

    • A 15–30 minute weekly live check-in between Visionary and Teammate

  • This supports:

    • Clear feedback

    • Strong communication

    • Ongoing alignment


13. VA Task Delivery Expectations and Accounting

Our team works diligently to ensure timely delivery of tasks. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Regular Delivery:

    • 3-5 business days turnaround (1 hour spent = 1 hour charged).

  • Rush Delivery:

    • 1 business day turnaround depending on availability (1 hour spent = 2 hours charged).

Note: WorkSitter does not work on Saturdays and Sundays unless agreed upon with your teammate.

We work with many amazing Visionaries like yourself and manage your tasks as our time is reserved. Additionally, if you would like us to hold time on our calendars regularly (e.g., 9-9:15 am every workday to check emails/messages/tasks), we will hold it and charge for that time.

The tasks generated by this check-in will be added to our to-do lists as per the VA Task Delivery Expectations and Accounting listed here.

  • Minimum Charge: We charge a 15-minute minimum for work sessions.

  • Availability:

    • We are available to respond to emails Monday through Friday, 9-3 pm EST, and observe all U.S. holidays. We generally do not work on weekends unless otherwise arranged with your teammate.

    • Our teammates will wait for you for up to 15 minutes. If we don’t receive any notice from you before the meeting or within that timeframe, the teammate will close the meeting and mark it as delivered. Your teammate’s time is just as valuable as yours, and respecting the time they dedicate to supporting you is a way of respecting both their work and your own goals.
